Don't test your moms patience
Today was a day for cleaning with our mom
One wrong move and she would go off like a bomb
She came to our door with a knock
It was around 1 o'clock
Her head was pounding like a drum as usual
To bad today wasn't a day for the pool
She lashed out and screamed go clean your room
But me and my brother complained boo hoo
It was a beautiful day to play
But my mom said we must stay
She exclaimed and said our room is filthy
And my brother knew he was guilty
My brother cried a river into his hands
And my mom said if it's not clean we're not going to grans
She said stop your crying and just clean your room
following her orders I grabbed the broom
As nothing worked my brother tried and tried
The more it didn't work he cried and cried
No matter what we did
All the day we hid
She still made us clean
From that day on I knew not to be mean
