The Fumble
I fumbled, I fumbled, I FREAKING FUMBLED!
I mumbled and grumbled, I really fumbled!
The task was so simple, just catch the ball,
If I fumbled, just fall and crawl on the ball.
Instead of catching the ball, I bobbled it,
Looking a lot like an idiot,
I clutched the ball at the last second, surprised that I actually caught it!
Then just as I was about to take a knee, a giant, huge, brick wall hit me.
Ronnie. Ronnie the train. Ronnie just cause me some serious pain.
We Staggered and fell off of our feet as the ball popped from my arms,
It went flying as I finally hit the ground and saw the ball bouncing up and down.
My arm made a pop as I hit the ground but the adrenaline in me wouldn’t let me stop.
Grinded and grinded and pushed and pushed!
We leaped after the ball and in a split second, It was gone.
The ball was gone! And not in MY HANDS!
My hands pushed me up and saw the other team with the ball.
Running and running, to the five,
As he ran into the touchdown he did a dive.
Storming to the sidelines cursing and screaming,
I was furious- No, I was steaming!
Blood boiled with furious rage,
Kicking and punching going on a rampage.
Sitting on the bench and slapping my head,
Coach walked over to me laughing and red?
Why was coach laughing? Was what happened funny?
He chuckled smiling, giving me a look,
With a grin on his face the coach walked up to me,
He said, it’s only the first quarter, and smiled.
THE END.

What inspired me to write this was what happened when I fumbled the ball on a kickoff...in the first quarter. Kinda anticlimatic, huh?
