AJ’s, a place of fun
Go carts racing round and round made me run
I asked my friend, “Do you want to go?”
He turned to me and said “Sure thing bro.”
Sparkling go carts in the hot summer sun
Really made them fun for anyone

My friend and I sprinted over there quickly
We both realized that it would be risky
We waited in line until it was our turn
I felt my stomach starting to churn
My brother unexpectedly joined us in line
Maybe, just maybe, we will be fine

We got into our cart
Mine looked fast as a dart
My brother got a car
It looked like it would go far
With a bang, the race began
My cart suddenly ran
Starting out in second place
I really needed to win this race
My cart growled as it went faster
Thinking to myself, ”I am the master”I started gaining on my friend

Which is something he did not intend
Suddenly, I started drifting
Out of control my car was shifting
Getting closer to the wall
Thinking it would not happen at all
I tried a certain manoeuvre
Hoping it would go a lot smoother

I hit a guard rail with a bam!
Sitting there, I heard a sudden slam!
I was nailed by my brothers cart
He probably thought it was pretty smart
Like a pin in my shin
Seeing them make a nasty grin
Quickly, I turned around and started again

This time I was in last “aw man!”
Zooming  up close behind my brother
Suddenly, I passed my brother’s car with my wheels burning rubber
Thinking it was quite bizzare
Looking back, he was pretty far
Quickly, I flew around the bend
Intense racing towards the end

Now I’m in second place
Turning it into an epic chase
To see who is the ace of the race
Wind is screaming in my face
Now it is the last lap
My speed finally snaps
Vroom it goes
How fast I was going, I don’t even know

Reaching my friend and it’s now head to head
Our faces turn the brightest of red
We are approaching the finish
Neither of us are going to diminish
Thinking I could pull through
Pushing the limits of my car another win is due

Suddenly, my cart slows down
That’s why I end the race in a big fat frown
My friend won the race
He had a happy look on his face
Congratulating him on his win
Maybe I should of had a faster cart to begin

Suddenly, I realized something
Something that I should have learned after all of that bumbing
Well, I guess I should have concentrated more
On the fun I should of had before
In my thirst for absolute victory
Made me sustain an injury
We slowly exited the race track
Who knows, we might come back
Next time, I’ll try to have fun
Because fun is something for everyone...
