Decoding the Eyes

She lies in bed
staring at the starry night spectrum
behind her eyes
she's falling asleep with the sunrise
Writing in her worn journal
tales of love and all its lies
she can't sleep
she cannot speak
Everybody knows this girl
but knowledge is only skin deep
she cries herself to sleep
nobody really understands this girl
I used to, but now
I am starting to grow, alone
