I am kind.
Not because I want people to like me,
Not because I want your attention,
Not because I want to fit in with your group.
I am very kind, you should try it sometime.
I am happy.
Not because I have an amazing life,
Not because I have the most amazing friends,
Not because I have the greatest family.
I am here, that's only what matters.
I am considerate.
Not because I want you guys to like me,
Not because I want you to be happy,
Not because you ask me to be.
To show you that I care.
I am who I am.
Not because you have tried to change me,
Not because I ever want to be changed,
Not because I've tried to change myself to fit “standards” .
I end up where I end up.
I am strong.
Not because I am happy,
Not because I am kind,
Not because I am considerate.
I am Riley.

My names Riley, and I am a very independant person when it comes to some things, but I also like to be involved in things. In the making of this poem, I could let my emotions flow out of me. This was one of my favorite poems to make, and I hope you like it.
