The White Bed
October 25, 2016
If you shed a tear or 20,
Let me wipe them away with these soft pillows.
If you catch a cold,
Let these sheets cocoon you in warmth.
When the weight of the world falls on your shoulders,
Let me catch you with my strong build.
And no matter how much of a mess you make of me,
I will still be here when morning wakes you.

In my creative writing class, we were assigned to write an imagist poem on a random picture we received. I received the picture of a white bed by a window. What I hope this brings hope to people that there is someone who will always be there for you no matter what, even if it's the comfort of your own bed.
