The Picture
I remember the day like it was yesterday
I remember how everyone had things to
Say
“I can’t wait until she comes out
So I can finally see what all the talk is
About”
I remember how some people were snapping
Photos
While we wait for Beyonce to emerge below
I remember how all the seats were icy
And blue
But surprisingly enough they were all
Brand new
I remember how the stadium was jam-packed
Like sardines
The people looked puny, like Boston Baked Beans
I remember when she came out, all dressed
In black
Some fans were so happy, that they
Almost fell back
I remember how the crowed chanted “Beyonce!”
And how she sang the song where she
Says “I slay”
I remember how it was intense with cheering and
Singing
I remember how Beyonce’s and her dancers’ hair
Was swinging
I remember how bad my ears were
Ringing when we left
I remember it was chilly; like you’d
Need a winter vest
I was there with my mom and we
Had a good time
Dancing and singing to every rhythm
And rhyme
This was a time that I’ll never forget
The time I saw Beyonce at a concert event
