Gone Gray
All these colors in front of me
and they’re begging and I listen.
“I’m what you need, can’t you see?”
Trying my best, losing my vision.
It’s so beautiful; it’s almost there.
I’m out of yellow, I need more blue.
I need a break. Give me fresh air.
“Please come back. I need you.”
As it fell and it spilled,
it is gone and now gray.
My hopes ruined. My heart killed.
All this time, don’t go away.
