The First Match
My Wrestling match coming quickly,
In my stomach I feel quite sickly,
I watch my friends match come to an end,
I am the one unto which my coaches send,
I slowly walk to the mat,
Remember to be agile like a cat,
The referee's hand raises high,
With his rules I must comply,
The match begins, the whistle blows,
I get him down to hands and toes,
I push and pull, rack my brain,
This position of power I must maintain,
On his back is where he went,
To the floor is where he was sent,
The referee pounds his hand to the floor,
And for my team I gave a score.
