Bench Blues
Getting warm at five.
warming the bench at six.
Everyone knows you’d rather play,
That you’d rather get your fix.
Drinking the water to hold your tongue,
Springing up when coach comes.
He glides by without a hint,
He sees in your eyes a glint.
Spinning around he says “you’re in”,
In your head (I have to win).

I was thinking about quitting my school soccer team for a long time but just as i made my mind up that i'd do it the coach threw me into a game i was shocked delighted and nervous but it all worked out.
I hope people read this and understand not to give up eventually everyone will get their time to shine.
