Where I belong
As i walk down the city street
I can see the sign light up
I know I’m close and almost there
The Pageant
This is home
I walk into the building
And it’s crowded as ever
I see pinecones around people's’ neck
Girls wearing crop tops
Guys with their hats on
And tye dye surrounds me
But i don’t mind
These are my kind of people
I see the stage
It’s not your average stage though
You look up and see LED boxes in the air
Bright lights flashing everywhere
You see every color you could imagine
Purple, blue, pink and more
This is my scene
The beat of “Say it” is blaring throughout the venue
Then out of nowhere
The beat drops
Everybody’s hands shoot up in the air
People are dancing all around me
They’re dancing as if nobody is watching
I feel as if I couldn’t be happier
As my heart races with excitement
I know I am where I belong

I had gone to a show the weekend before I wrote this and had the time of my life.
