Younger Times
Younger Times
Once there was a time I was young,
you held me close till’ I could run.
I couldn’t stand to leave your side,
but then we began to run out of time.
I grabbed your hand, not letting go,
soon to hear the cries of mine reach the floor.
You were scared of your mistakes.
Wouldn’t dare to tell,
though it’d be far to late,
there was no one to yell,
This secret you became to know so well.
lying there alone….
could be the last thing you’ll ever know
