Awake…
Asleep…
Living in an uneasy,
afraid life,
Just Watching,
Waiting and
Hoping for
Death.
Sickness.
and broken lives.
I could see beyond daylight,
When my mind faded
I was Busy, Scampered,
trudged and
Fought
For the triumphs,
And heart break, Until
You have grown to learn.

This peom came from To Kill A Mockingbird and we did a found poem out of it. I highlighted word that I wanted, had it make sense and blackened out all the rest of the words. I really liked this type of poem idea and highly recomend giving it a try. The words I choose gave me inspiration on not giving up and keep going until I learn to do it right the next time.
