The Jacket

The jacket is special to him and to me
It represents how we- are all free
Reminding us of a time when it was about,
seeing the men... and hearing
guns
shout
It also reminds us of how lucky we are-
to look up and see a great sea of stars
So what I plan to do- is wear it with pride
to face every evil, and take it with stride
The reason to remember the blood and the mud...
is to be proud of the people that we have become
For whenever I think of the red, white, and blue...
I think of great things
we are able to do
