Madness
Rain lands in silence on cold awaiting streets.
As it meshes with blood, a heart lies on its last beat.
Thousands lie dead as they criss-cross the ground.
A deadly pattern is seen, as out rings the sound.
Of gunshots then silence for everyone knows,
The first one to scream is the next one to go.

I love the rhyming, and the detail and imagery, this is very well written.
