Staring into the blank white wall
The mirror image engrained in your flooded eyes
Hands clutched hard against your chest
Pillow pushed tight along your body
Waiting for the one for you
Who takes the time to listen
To wipe away your tears
A pillow muffles your tears
Providing relief for those around you
Your own hand can only do so much
Serving as a reminder of how alone you are
And a blank white wall
Is soon filled up
With memories you would as soon have forgotten
Who will help you?
What has come
Of your Good Samaritan?
