I miss how a summer night leaves the stars astray
The season when everything is set free
I long for the carefree feel of a summer day

Summer is lovely, sunny or grey
I love it all, except for the bees|
But I miss how a summer night leaves the stars astray

Days, long, with clouds great for a gaze
Nights, silent and calm, a chance of breeze
I long for the carefree feel of a summer day

The way the sunset creates a beautiful haze
The blooming colors are sure to please
But I miss how a summer night leaves the stars astray

Warm days at the beach, you can feel each sunray
Coast beaches stay windy, be sure not to freeze
I long for the carefree feel of a summer day

When the idea of school becomes just a haze
The mind is cleared of worries with ease
I miss how a summer night leaves the stars astray
I long for the carefree feel of a summer day
