Beth.
Beth, my love
Always so quiet
Pure like a dove
Taken to bed
Against your will
Defiled, tears shed
Beth, my dear
Too shaken to speak
Riddled with fear
Lost in thought
Of vivid image
Reliving how hard you fought.

The inspiration for this poem comes from a recet event in the media. A student at Stanford raped a woman and only has to serve a 6 month sentence. I am absolutely appaled at the lack of empathy for the girl whose whole life is going to be effected by this traumatic event.
