No home, no food;
No hope, no shoes

This isn’t a life for what they choose
Mainly caused by money issues
They’re forced to live on the streets
But this shouldn’t be a surprise or news

For we see them everyday
Either crowded in corners or shelters
Some choose to change their ways
While others give up in dismay

Millions forgotten and are nearly ever heard
All over the world without anyone
But those who have deterred
And just like that they are gone without a word

Many reasons,
Many places,
But who’s doing the savin’?
Who’s doing the takin’?

Wars are a huge part
Which have left so many with nothing
But a confused mind and a battered cart
This is where things fall apart

Homelessness is everywhere
Not just in your Downtown
So beware
Because this is truly unfair

I let out a sad sigh
So many helpless people
Who often lay awake and cry
And have no motivation to even try

We can do our part and lend a helping hand
To abolish homelessness, we should all take a stand
But we know we can’t solve it all tonight
But we can take a step at a time and create a good plan

Getting people together to donate shoes for their feet
GIves them a little peace of hope
For which they can keep
