Pains
Pain
You never know when it is going to hit you.
It’s always creeping in the back of mind.
Haunting your thoughts like a ghost.
Will it be next play? Next inning? Next big hit?
And when it happens it slaps you right in the face.
Like jumpscare in a horror movie, you never know when it’s going to happen.
It is a brutal and sneaky monster.
Everyone stands in shock watching you as if a bomb went off.
But you're just lying there helpless.
Pain is a rough creature.
Like a weird kid nobody wants to be with.
It’s everyone's greatest fear.
