I was a coat rack by the door,
as they stormed right past.
I laid quietly as their doormat,
taking it til’ the last.
When my eyes began to water,
no one seemed to ask.
Why I was hurt so bad
they all just walked past.
I couldn’t take it anymore,
they made me break out the flask.

Now I am the girl everyone envies,
with loyal friends on each side.
I am a rose in a field of clovers,
I no longer feel the need to hide.
I kicked all my addictions,
and I say it with such pride.
I am the sun shining on everyone,
not afraid to put our differences aside.
