I will just stand here and stare at you
I will just bark and bark until you get out of your chair, change my mind and want nothing
I will not eat my food unless it’s eggs and bacon
I will sit in the garage and whine until you play ball
I will not cross the wood floor since something dark is always following me, it’s more apparent on this type of flooring
I will just stand here below the stairs until you turn the lights on for me
I will just lay  on the couch because I know Mom can’t say no to me, Dad won’t say no to Mom
I will just rub my face on your new black pants and cover them in hair
I will make you late to school since your pants are now dirty and you have to change
I will just run until my paws bleed
I just want you to notice me and pet me
I will just love you unconditionally
I will not let this cancer get the best of me.
