The Archduke Spark
A subjugated people, frustration builds
A name has been called, the archduke to be killed
The deed is done, the assassination fulfilled
Austria plans to attack.
Germany watches her back.
Russia grows Nervous.
Millions sign for military service.
France and Britain soon to enter.
Death soon the great tormentor.
Machine guns rattle about.
Death throes cry out.
Artillery rains.
Becoming just daily pains.
Monotony and blood.
Stain this godforsaken mud.
A subjugated people, frustration builds.
A name has been called, the archduke to be killed.
The deed is done, the war’s fulfilled.
