Lights
There’s a great variety
Of problems in society.
But what people don’t realize
Are the problems right before their eyes.
The pieces of people breaking away,
Falling deeper into depression every day.
It tears them apart piece by piece,
Will the pain ever decrease?
They have no hope,
No way to cope,
They don’t see the light,
It’s black as night,
The heroes they need are nowhere in sight.
Lost and alone,
Scared and weak,
Hearts turned to stone,
Too scared to speak.
But what if people payed attention to the signs?
Saw the emotion building up inside,
Became the heroes that they need,
Be the light they need to see.
Show them how much they are worth,
Prove that life is not a curse.
Show them that they have a purpose,
That they really don’t deserve this.
Life can change and be okay,
If the right people show them the way.
If someone will shine and be their light,
Show them it will be all right.
This is a problem that people face,
Every group, every gender, and every race.
We can solve this problem if we work together,
And eliminate depression forever.
