Angel Baby
I remember hearing those words.
“Josiah just passed.”
I didn’t know what to think.
I was sad, I never wanted him
to pass away.
At peace,
I knew he didn’t have to struggle
and was in good hands.
I was sorry for my sister,
it was her first child.
When I stepped into the hospital room,
I saw my sisters face,
her eyes told it all.
I saw my nephew,
fragile is all i could think of.
I heard crying and sniffling.
My whole demeanor had changed.
At that moment I saw him.
It was my second time.
He was tiny - small hands, little feet, short arms, short legs, big head.
I held him in my arms for the first time.
I felt him move.
Breathe a little.
Unfortunately…. it was nothing.
