I Hear America Shouting
I hear America shouting, the varied chants I hear,
Those of the Black Lives Matter advocates, each shouting their demands on social media and on inner-city streets,
The Tea Party shouting their ultra-conservative views,
The Progressives shouting their "innovative" policies,
The Pro-Choice supporters shouting what belongs to them and their bodies, the Feminists shouting as they march naked in the streets,
The Radical Muslims shouting as they proclaim jihad in the name of Allah,
The Democrats and Republicans shouting their distracting squabbles at a sheep-like people.
The Illegal Immigrants shouting of the welfare, or of the housing, or of the jobs the government will provide them,
Each shouting what should belong to him or her and to none else.
The day what belongs to the day?at night the work of extremists is carried out, swift and destructive,
Shouting with frothing mouths the detriment of America.
