The Flower
A flower blooms touched by the sun
a blossom on the other leaf is held like a treasure,
while the sunglows bright and lengthens the measure.
The day has dawned bright and foggy.
A blossom on the other leaf is held like a treasure
soon the bud will burst.
The day has dawned bright and foggy,
for now the foggy green of the bud’s leaves have lifted.
Soon the bud will burst
forth its new life shall go.
For now the foggy green of the bud’s leaves have lifted
from the treasure held to the bright new flower bloom.
The new bloom has blossomed life!

Dominique has not yet published a piece of her writing. She was inspired by how when you grow up from a little girl into an adult a flower seems to bud and bloom into something just as wonderful. She lives in the country in Northeast Wisconsin where her parents grow flowers. I hope people will get to consider making a choice to think about how not having a kid to watch bloom into a flower affects them and think of how happy other people are with thier unique flowers in this world!
