An Autobiography
I sign my name like I'm someone important
I walk like I've somewhere to be
I sit all alone but not lonely
Like there's someone waiting for me
I dream like the world isn't finished yet
I hum like I know the tune
I cry like I'd rather be smiling
I sleep like I'm friends with the moon
I'm a mess of a mess among messes
And some days a stain on pure white
But I've tried to undo the way that I am
And I'm stuck this way for life
I can't not fall in love with the world
And I think it loves me, too
It tells me secrets 'average' misses
And shows me a brighter hue
I will not forget what I know
I will remember the lessons I'm taught
For I'd rather be a mess among messes
Than average with no beautiful thought
