My Emerald Heart

Shards
Chipped off
And swiftly distributed
Some treasured, others forgotten
I am left with only half a green heart
Which has lost its radiant shining power
I spend my nights, searching for the missing pieces
I must reclaim them and mend my broken emerald heart
Its is as lovely as it was the first day of my life
Oh, what a lovely springtime jewel it is!
Maybe you can tell it was shattered
But it will work just the same
It is great to shine
And glow
Again
