Funeral
Her black lace gown withheld a sinister twinkle when shun on by the heavens
The taint of her tears left small cascading wet spots down the front
Her emerald necklace encased a subtle glimmer of hope
She arrived at the morbid rendezvous with little energy or control
Gloomy is an understatement for how that bitter morning felt
She noticed a butterfly being beat down by the harsh rain
Its pain would synchronize with hers as she thought:
For dust you are and to dust you will return
