Lush grass, of the prettiest green,
Blankets the ground, looking quite keen,
A creek cuts smartly through, going nowhere fast,
But flowing ever onward, never looking to the past.

The hush of the breeze as it fingers the trees,
Blows all your worries aside, and you find,
Though your mind has wandered far and wide-
Your heart has been here the whole time.

You lay down with your face to the sky,
And watch as the clouds go meandering by,
Perfect white clouds framed by perfect blue sky,
And a cardinal sings as it flies.

With a peaceful sigh, you close your eyes,
And listen to the song of the world.
The water, the wind, and the birds all combine,
Singing sweet harmony, melody most divine.

But what should interrupt this heavenly day?
This dream-like paradise-
But a buzz, growing louder and louder;
And when you open your eyes-
You turn off your alarm clock to face another day.
