Forced To
Forced to leave our home
To start a new life
A life full of sorrow
with no hope insight
Forced to abandon our culture
and to adapt to new ways
To obey the white man
and to slave our days away
Forced to Fight for freedom
which was long and hard
but rewarding to see the equal rights we deserved finally come along
When they say our struggles are over, we shrug and hesitate
but we still have hope by choosing to think about how far we have come along today
