the gift of presence
sadness is not apathy, and
ignorance is put to good use.
he sees a lasso, you see a halo,
yet all i see is a noose.
try making a point to pop the bubble
of comfort the world resides in
if we choose to hide from all of our troubles,
then when can we start to begin?
your happiness is a gift to the world
i so selfishly want to receive.
there’s no letter in mind but U and I,
and for that, i’m begging you please,
just smile at the sun, the moon, the stars,
let your warmth find a home in the others.
be the calm of our storm while you’re fading our scars,
share your love like a friend or a mother.
