The Fight
I hear the voice inside my head
It tells me to find peace
Inside my dread
Inside myself, I find lost hope
Letting me fight,
Letting me cope
When I thought it was only eternal fear,
When the storm had come
I took it upon myself to interfere
Inside this darkness, I found the light
The dark controlled me
I decided to fight
I scream in a deafening cry
It’s not over yet,
It’s not goodbye
Too feel the anger burn inside,
I will keep going,
No matter how many times I have already tried
To battle in this internal fight
Takes for what seems like forever,
Using every bit of might
Now I scoff
At who I used to be,
This battle, this fight, it all paid off
