When life hands you melons, you know you're dyslexic.

I stare at the broken guitar
Trying to remember the music
Wishing the strings would work again
But knowing the damage is done
Feeling the sadness fill me up
As the notes slowly fade away
Knowing that someday new ones
Will take their place on the page
Playing music used to be my passion
But now it doesn't work
In helping fill the void in my heart
And the anger in my soul
Sometime soon I'll hear a song
And try to play the tune
But music seems like a distant memory
That used to fill my entire life
So maybe I'll fix that old guitar
And learn a brand new song
Because silence can't last forever
When music is trying to play through
