Fear In The Air
Fear of Falling,
Fear of loosing
It follows us everywhere
And we think it controls us
It stops us from perceiving
It stops us from breathing
It makes the minutes seem longer
And hours feel shorter
Why can’t I feel the heat of the scorching sun?
Why can’t we feel the cold wind as it rushes past us?
We are like the soldiers who just lost a war,
Clad in fear and walking in pain
The world has changed from what I remember,
The same old beautiful sun
Looks like its spitting lava onto us
All this is nothing but a sensation of fear
Despair, dismay, doubt, dread
All words to accurately describe fear
Once again this is nothing
But a sensation of fear
