Tennis
The green ball,
I watch fall.
It bounces back up,
So I say, “what’s up?”
I give it my best hit,
Because I will never quit.
I watch as the ball soars over the net,
Hoping that this won’t be something that I regret.
I watch as my opponent hits the ball,
Wanting them to hit it into a wall.
Instead, they hit it into the net,
Which is much better I bet.
For I have just won the point,
I never disappoint!
I smile as everyone cheers for me,
While I am just glad that I didn’t break my knee.
