Police Brutality
"Someone call 911!"
A person shouts as
A man is shot by a gun
His body falls
To the hot pavement
Warmed by the sun
He is shot three more times
Before a child starts crying
"He was a criminal, I swear!"
Says the cop who shot him right there
"Picking locks
And fighting with cops!"
Says the lawyer in court
Causing the mother to cry even more
But what if I told you that
This poor, dead man was black
That he did nothing
More than put up his hood
Following the law as he should
That he had never mugged
Anyone
But was still thought of as a thug
This doesn't sound fair
Yet stuff like this still happens everywhere
