Regret
regret is knowing you could have tried a little harder
or studied more so you could have been a little smarter
knowing you surely didn't do your best
cuz’ all you did
all you ever do is rest
knowing you could have done more
but all you did was walk out the door
knowing you missed that one shot
you might have thought that everyone forgot
but not you
never you
if you would've practiced more on that one day
you would've remembered that one shot in a different way
making that one goal
that one move to get the net to go swish
since a child that was always was your one wish
in retrospect
you've had a lot of time to reflect
on everything you've ever been regretting
all those things in your brain that won't stop tormenting
when you're looking back on it today
it wouldn't have been too much work to be ready for that
one day
where all you do now
is regret
because that’s the one thing you’ll
never
ever
forget
