I see them

With their long wavy hair

Frosted with blonde cause they all really care

How we see them

It's all in the looks

S**** and good girls like you read in the books

But you know that

They're just trying to fit in

Trying not to get judged--now is that a sin?

Cause we do this.

We've done this to them:

Made all of their goals just to marry rich men

It's in fashion--

All the clothes that they wear

Cutouts and crop tops and bows in their hair

And we do this

It has spread 'cross the world

Sexual objects are all of the girls

And the women...

The women aren't free.

We've gotten the vote but there's more we can be

Cause rapists aren't blamed; "She was asking for it,"

But still she was scarred--how does that verdict fit?

We make them wear clothes that show way too much skin,

It's only the fashion; they want to fit in.

They're always paid less

They're always hard-pressed

To grow up, wear makeup, and show off their breasts.

It's great to be kind and hold open a door,

They'll give you a thank-you but don't ask for more

Cause you are the ones who have freedoms galore

And if you want change then it's you who must act

They won't listen to women--I know that's a fact.

It seems disrespect is an unwritten pact.

So men, think again: do we not need a day?

Your freedoms are more--always have been that way.
