I always sat back and listened to others
Never wanting to speak my mind
Never wanting to voice my opinion
No one ever wanted to hear it
They thought they were more important
They thought there plans for the future were greater than mine
No one ever cared
“Keep smiling and no one will notice” they said
Maybe I wanted them to notice
Maybe I wanted people to care
They never did, so why should I.
