under the shade of oil lamp
Under the shade of oil lamp
The cobbler mends the shoe,
Old lady sells candy
And the poor eats his food.
Under the shade of oil lamp
There are forlorn sounds
Echoing in the unseen grounds.
Under the shade of oil lamp
There exist a dark world
Where a child studies science
And grows the young mind.
Under the shade of oil lamp
A poor child becomes a champ.
Under the shade of oil lamp
The woman adores her beauty,
Under the shade of oil lamp
The man prays to almighty.
Under the shade of oil lamp
There is an unseen world
And the mourns left unheard.
Under the shade of oil lamp
A poor girl weeps,
Under the shade of oil lamp
The rural world sleeps.
Under the shade of oil lamp
The poor takes his first nap,
The poor takes his last nap.
