Why can't I hear you anymore?

You can not hear, because you are not listening with your heart.

You are leaning on your own understandings and not mine.

Why did you let this happen to me? I didn't ask for cancer...

Put all your trust in Me and I will not fail you.
You may not have asked for it, but you, my daughter, can handle it.

This pain and suffering you experience durning your time is temporary,
Your eternal life with me is packed to the rim with joy and happiness.
No pain no sorrow.

Where are you now, when I need you most?
How can you not see me? I'm all around you.
I'm in the sunny meadows where you laugh and play with your children.
I never left, I'm right here.
In the darkest of the nights or the sunniest of days.
In the depths of the valley or at highest peak of the mountain, I am there.
All you have to do is wipe away clouds from your eyes and see.
Not only with your eyes, but with your heart as well.

Why have you gone away?
I have not gone away, you have simply stopped believing,
You have turned your back on me.
You want to live your life your way, not mine.
I promise you, I'm right here,
Waiting for you to open the door to your heart and let me in once again.

What am I supposed to do?
Open your heart to me,
Let me in so I can help you become stronger and wiser.
You can come from this storm with more hope and more faith,
So that it spills out of you and into the other around you.

Are you even listening? Do you even care anymore?
Of course I'm listening.
I've heard every prayer, every request, and every cry for help.
I care and love you more than you love and care for your own children.
I know the number of hairs on your head,
I knitted you from scratch in the womb of your mother.
I sent my only son to Earth to die for you.

My Father, I've lost my way and I need your help. Will you save me?
I help all who ask for it.
Pray to me and I shall answer.
I have already saved you, all you have to do is come back to me now,
Walk in the footprints that I have already laid out for you and you will find your way home.

Do you forgive me?
Why would I not forgive you?
Did you not know that I have already done that?
I forgive all sins that have been made against me and others,
So, yes, I forgive you.

Do you still love me?
I love all people.
I love the good and the evil, the rich and the poor.
Like I said before,
I love you so much that I sent my son to die for you!

Will you still consider me one of your own?
You have sinned against me and you have also acknowledged it,
Therefore, I will always consider you one of my own.

This fight is tough and the battle is long... Is it almost over?
I can not answer that question in full.
There are answers you do not need to know and this is one.
I wish I could answer, but I shall not.
I am sorry.

I've fought this cancer with all my might. I'm so tired and I can feel myself slowly slipping away, but I'm scared to let go. My husband says it's okay to go, to leave, but I'm scared to let go.
Is it okay to finally let go?
Do not fear my child, I am right here waiting for you to leave and come home.
Say your final good-byes and take your last shaky breaths and come home.
Come home where there is no more pain, sorrow, or suffering.
What awaits you at the gate is beyond believable.
Take my hand and come with me.
Come home Jill,
Come home.

My mom passing away is what inspired me to write this poem. I hope after people read this they will not turn their backs on God no matter what maybe happening in their life. And that they will know that they are not alone.
