Snakes and Ladders
When she was younger,
Her favorite game was snakes and ladders,
But during that time, those snakes and ladders were only imaginary,
When she turned 10 years old, only the ladders existed,
Her life was in an upward spiral,
As she entered her teenage years,
Only the snakes started to exist,
For the ladders slowly dispersed,
The she came to the realization,
That to get to the top, she had to beat the other snakes,
However, in doing that, she became the biggest snake,
And realized life wasn't a game anymore,
In life, there's the bad and the good, the snakes and the ladders,
And even though there are snakes,
There will always be the ladders.
