Next time you'll notice if you love them.
If yelling at them in a fight
burns your throat like you downed acid.
If their eyes hold the world
and stop you dead in your tracks with their beauty.
If their laugh makes you tense your knuckles
at the thought of never hearing it again.
If their hair isn't magical
when you run your fingers through it.
If their tears
are your tears as well.
If their smile doesn't make your chest quake
but feel refreshed all at once.
