A life change
When I lived in Mexico I couldn’t believe
My life was changing, I was moving,
To a totally new world, everything happened so fast,
I was happy, but at the same time scared.
A new life in the U.S. ,
Seemed great, everything I saw
was interesting, I imagined washington different,
It’s a beautiful place but not what I expected,
I didn’t seem to care about what I dreamed,
or what Washington was like, I was excited to explore,
I didn’t think it was going to be full of tall trees,
But I liked the weather how it’s bipolar,
I was just eight years old when I moved here,
Little innocent girl, that left everything behind,
Will never forget the great times I had,
Memories will always be in my heart,
I learned to speak English, who would ever thought I’d be bilingual,
I have a dream to be someone in life,
I will prove it to those who doubt me,
I will succeed in life.
