Jelly Beans
Red, yellow, purple, green
It doesn’t matter, don’t you see?
A variety of flavors that will blow your mind
Just give yourself a little time
To see how each one matters
Served from a garbage can to a silver platter
Some may be a success
While others can make a mess
But no matter what flavor you are
We all are in the same jar
I am no ordinary bean
Not too sour, not too sweet
Not too bright, not too dull
Not too hard, like a skull
Not too soft, not even close to null
But will leave you laughing like a seagull
Maybe I’ll come in a different shape
Surprise you with the taste of cake
Mysterious and unpredictable jelly bean
Making you want more and more of me
In a jar of flavor, ranging from sweet to sour
We all are different and proud of that matter
Because we are the jelly bean we are
Even if we go afar from our jar
We have the power to make someone’s day
Put a smile on and say “Yay!”
Because you’re unique in your own way
More amazing than a sunsetted bay
White, brown, pink, blue
Each one different, just like you

We may live in the same jar, but that doesn't mean we are the same.
