Masks

Porcelain faces tend to break
Leaving cracks upon the smile
Ever wonder what it takes
Always patching up what’s vile
Say we’re happy all the time
Ever wonder if it’s true?

Tear away this burden
Always being chipped away
Killing all that’s hidden
Ever wonder what to say

On our faces, hide the mask
Faces without expression
Fears cannot be seen

Truths will not be rendered
Haunting all our dreams
Everyone now murdered

Masks aren’t what they seem
And if you ask me to take mine off, and
See light with my own eyes,
Keep that question to yourself, the mask is my disguise.
