A Burden to Bear
Everywhere he goes he carries the pack
Holding more inside than anyone would know
There are those who put down their bags
But he takes it, and on his back it stays.
Strapped on tight, it restricts his moves
There are times he gets stuck, unable to continue
Atlas’ burden is an easier task
Everywhere he goes he carries the pack.
He hangs out with friends, works and lives
It’s not an obvious thing for them
But a part of everything for him
Holding more inside than anyone would know.
He is not the only one
It’s like it’s a trend
But there are those who have moved on
There are those who put down their bags.
Every insult, break-up, bump, bruise, beating and fear
In the bag it goes, and it gets bigger
He too could leave the pack and move on
But he takes it, and on his back it stays.

I hope that people can read this and realize that all the negative events that happen to them don't have to continue to affect their life. It can be left in the past and you can be a better person because it's gone.
