I Am From Poem
I am from Saturday-morning cartoons,
Legos, and old toys.
From afternoons spent late at school, and
Nights spent at Grandmas.
I am from mom’s cooking and
Stuffed animals.
From the hammock on the
Back porch.
I am from classroom pets in
3rd grade, and Magic Tree
House books.
From Christmases with cousins.
I am from procrastination,
And stressed caused by procrastination.
And from hurricanes that knock
Out the power.
I am from video games and a
Family that supports me.
From weekends at friends’ houses and
Waiting for my sister at gymnastics
I am from teachers who love me.
From fights with siblings and swimming lessons.
I am from a faith that provides and
A God who cares and loves me.
